Northern was one of the best post players at the camp on the offensive end scoring the basketball. I was really impressed with her effort sprinting out on the break where she was rightly rewarded with several uncontested baskets at the rim. When Northern received the basketball with a defender on her, she quickly went to work in the post with one or two dribbles, good shoulder and shot fakes, and excellent footwork before putting the ball in the basket. If you blinked you might have missed it Northern was so quick getting her shot off and the defense did not have time to react. She played well using her pivot foot in the post. I really enjoyed watching Ramzy operate in the painted area. She played with a maturity and patience beyond her years.

Ramzy is a methodical scorer with positional size and length who can create without making the possession look hurried. She showed her handles, a middle game off the bounce, and three-point range. Her approach was patient and smooth, with an inside-out element to her scoring. When watching her game you won’t say that she is explosive off the bounce but what shows maturity in her floor game is her ability to work toward a shot at her own pace. Her handle gives her a way to create the middle-game opportunity, while the three-ball adds a different starting point for the defense to account for. Her tools make her more than a stationary perimeter option. Her scoring versatility is her calling card; and I would like to her make her pace purposeful without allowing it to become predictable.

A bull in a china shop, she’s becoming more of a polished ballplayer from both sides of the ball. She can be dominant with her back to the basket or attack you and finish you off with a counter move on her way to the rim. She blocks shots big time on the boards; her game has taken a notch up, and she is putting everyone on notice. A tough competitor, she will be ready to showcase her skills and help East make a nice postseason run. Look for her to continue to grow and be a name not only in the 615 area but known throughout the state.

A solid low-post player who finds ways to muscle through the opposition. Anything that was coming off the glass, she was in position to finish. When fed the ball down low, she had a bag full of moves that enabled her to finish over her opponent. She played solid defensively and made her presence known on both ends in the paint.

Solid post player who can play with her back to the basket. Long and rangy, she has a nice mid-range game to go along with her ability to be effective around the blocks. She can stretch the floor, but being effective in the painted area is what she does best. Solid rebounder and shot blocker; look for her to be someone coaches consider based on her size and ability. A solid prospect with good upside.

Long body kid who can stretch the floor but also do work in the low block areas. Has a nice jumper that she showcases around the elbows and short corners. However, she will attack the rim with a shot fake and hit her opponent with a counter move, i.e., step-through or step-back shot. She is a shot blocker who also contributes on the boards. Look for her to carve out a role in this Lady Eagles program this year.

Ramzy Northern Ramzy Northern 5'11" | PF East Nashville | 2029 TN came off the bench for TBW 29 Black and made an immediate impact. The incoming freshman swatted a shot of an opposing Team Tae player moments after checking in. Her defensive skillset is agro, but not reckless. She play within the game, but is constantly looking for a way to make it more difficult for her opponent to score.

With her agro skill set on defense, it also translated to the rebounding department. She grabbed some boards and passed it ahead to get her team in transition. Northern simply finds a way to have a positive effect on the game, even if she is not scoring.
