2024 PGHWashington Top 250 Expo: Team 1 Evaluation

With some of the top talent coming to Bellevue this past weekend, we got to see a ton of new faces shine and already top ranked players do their thing. Here is breakdowns on players team 1 from the showcase.    J'Lyn is a smart player, always playing off 2 feet when down in the paint and making the right play. She attacks down hill well with excellent hesitation moves. She hit shots from deep all day too while consistently moving off ball to position herself in the right spot.     Abby had her day cut short unfortunately, due to an ankle injury she suffered during the first 5on5 game. She runs the court in transition nicely, seeing her open teammates down the court and pushing the ball quickly with the pass. She is a great shooter from deep and gets downhill smoothly. She'll play a big role on this Lake Washington team.     Julia is insanely talented, being a standout from the showcase. She plays the game with passion, always going 100% and providing energy for her squad. She has quick feet on defense while also getting her hands in the passing lanes often. She hits shots from all over the court consistently and is able to take over on the court when she wants.     Elan knows where she can make shots and she knows how to get to those spots with or without the ball. She moved her feet well on the defensive side and consistently hit the deep shot all day long, showcasing a quick release.     Fox had one of the highest IQ's of any player I saw from the showcase. She filled lanes well in transition, being able to finish through traffic or finding open teammates. Jillea set fantastic screens and rolled hard, often being wide open on the roll. She can step out and hit the deep shot consistently too.     Emma came up from Oregon for the event and played very well during 3on3 play when having more space to work with the ball in her hands. She had great footwork all day long, finishing at the rim when driving past defenders.     Addy stood out to me throughout the day. She played off 2 feet, displaying high IQ about the game. She is versatile on the court, being able to play inside or outside. She hit shots from mid-range and deep all day but also being able to work in the paint and finishing through contact.     Dara played with high energy and filled her role perfectly on her team. She sealed defenders nicely down low, getting herself open for an easy bucket down low. She has a soft touch around the rim, rarely missing an opportunity to get a bucket down low. Olotu rebounded off the glass well, always boxing out and crashing hard.
