One of the top 2027’s received another Division 1 offer, this one coming from Rice University. She’s a three level scorer who really knows how to put the ball in the bucket. She continues to show out against high level competition during the AAU scene as well, gathering more and more attention. She also holds offers from Washington State, Utah State, Iona, Sacramento State, Oregon State, Weber State, Nevada, University of Penn, Portland, and Seattle U.

Julia is an extremely fun guard to watch play on the court. She has elite court vision, seeing up the court and being able to push the ball with her pass nicely. She plays great in transition, controlling her dribble and being able to finish through traffic in the paint. She knocks down deep shots at a high percentage too, being a threat from anywhere on the court.

Benthin led the Kangaroos with 16 points and eight rebounds while playing a major role on both ends of the floor. She consistently attacked the defense and found scoring opportunities both inside and from the perimeter. Her rebounding presence helped Lake Washington stay competitive despite Kennedy Catholic’s advantage on the glass. Benthin also added three assists while helping facilitate the offense during key stretches of the game. Her all-around effort was instrumental in keeping the Kangaroos within reach throughout the contest.

Benthin led Lake Washington with 21 points and 10 rebounds in the Kangaroos’ victory over Woodinville. She shot efficiently from the field and converted nine of ten free throws.

Her scoring and rebounding helped stabilize Lake Washington during key stretches of the game.

Benthin was efficient and steady. She scored 12 points on 5 for 6 shooting and added five rebounds. She made quick decisions and did not waste possessions. Her ability to finish inside helped Lake Washington stretch the lead in the first half. She kept pressure on the rim and forced help rotations that opened space for shooters.

Julia continues to show why she is a top player in the entire state. She knows how to adjust to what the defense is doing and still standout as one of the best players on the court. Benthin scores from all 3 levels, utilizing both hands when getting down-hill and finishing at the rim at a high percentage. She has an insanely bright future on the court and many, many D1 coaches will want her talents

Julia’s skillset and ability to do it all on the court is extremely apparent. She is a player who scores at 3 levels in a variety of ways. She can knock down deep shots, stop on a dime to hit mid-range shots, get down hill to finish with either hand and even mix in a beautiful floater from time to time. She plays elite defense, moving her feet quickly to stay in front of opposing players with no problem. She has many D1 schools looking her way too and the number of them will only keep climbing at the rate she is improving on the court.
