About Alice

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My game is very fast paced, always moving with and without the ball. I look to create the best play on the court using my teammates for open looks but don’t miss the opportunity for the open take. I am very quick on my feet and have good range on my shots. Defense is one of my favorite parts of the game. I love getting steals and hustling every second I get.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Once I step on the court, I zone everything out and only think about basketball. If I make a mistake, I don't let it get in the way and focus on what I can do to improve. I try to be the hardest worker on and off the court to be the best player I can be.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I received the President's Education award for Outstanding Academic Excellence.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I help coach younger girls in the McLean Select basketball program at clinics on evenings and weekends when I don't have games. This has helped me learn to be a leader and help girls love the sport of basketball as much as I do.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I was in 6th grade, I was trying to find an AAU team and I had a coach tell me I wouldn't make his team because I dribbled too high. After that, I worked as hard as I could to get my dribbling better. Being told this made me want to get better!

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to go to a good college that will develop me as a student and as a contributing player on the court.

Has good size for a guard, she has good handles and keeps the ball close as she attacks the basket. She can shoots the three point shot consistently really well along with the mid range. She is always moving on the perimeter to allow herself to score. Effective scorer on all levels for a points guard, had a good showing at DMV live and with multiple transfers that left the Paul VI program I won’t be surprised if she is in the starting lineup this season.
