About MJ

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a well-rounded, fundamentally sound player with a High Defensive IQ! I love to defend on the perimeter and in the post. Strengths of mine are running the floor, penetrating presses and defenses, and my ability to get downhill with ease. I take pride in playing with grit, being a solid rebounder and great kick-out passer.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is centered on GRIT (Get Relentless Ignore Trepidation). I love to compete and to do what it takes to win. I choose to have a positive mindset with aspirations of bringing out the best from my teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

All-District Orchestra (Viola); Junior National Honor Society; Fellowship of Christian Athletes;

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I enjoy serving as a Basketball Camp Counselor for Local Youth Camps. Engaging and teaching the next generation is very rewarding and allows me to share my love for the game.

MJ is a really good defender, always has active hands to get deflection in the passing lanes to get easy steals. Always aware of where the ball is and is constantly moving on the court. Good size for a wing she’s able to finish with multiple defenders around her. Good IQ she knows where to go to find the gaps to receive the ball to score in traffic.
