The Expo: New England took place over the weekend and the court was filled with loads of talent from all different positions. The showcase included drills, 3v3, a 3-point competition as well as competitive 5v5 play where the girls played hard fought until exhaustion. There were plenty of quality players, however there were a few that differentiated themselves from the bunch. Below are 5 players that stood out at The Expo: New England

Ava was sensational out on the floor. She's a versatile player that can create for herself on the ball, but also slide to an off-ball position scoring option of the wing. As a primary ballhandler she came up the court with a great pace that had the defense constantly backpedaling. When off the ball she was cutting to the basket across the lane while making herself a great target with her hands ready. Palma also knocked down some shots and skillfully crafted counters to aid her in scoring while driving. Ava was able to switch from perimeter players smoothly in half court action. She showed great initiative attempting to create turnovers and worked well with her other teammates. Palma was undeniably a standout performer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1005181' first='Breanna' last='St. Germain'] (2025) | 5'4 Wing | Prospect Hill Academy

Breanna was impressive with her 2-way play and athleticism that was translatable throughout the showcase. St. Germain worked unitedly with her teammates to get as many stops as possible and get out in transition. St. Germain was looking to get the rebound to push the pace down the throat of the defense. She moves well with a very quick explosive step. Breanna willed her way to the rim, no matter who was in the paint. She embraced contact from secondary defenders and was able to snake her way around the basket to find the rim. Breanna was not shy about competing on both ends of the floor; something that certainly stood out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1005189' first='Niyama' last='Adadevoh'] (2025) | 5'8 Wing/Forward | Springfield International Charter

Niyama was one of the best prospects out on the court. A dangerous threat in transition and a natural mismatch in the halfcourt. The athleticism is the backbone of Adadevoh's game. She displayed her straight-line speed that made her too fast for bigs to guard her, but also too strong for perimeter players to stop her from getting to her spots. Not too fancy of a dribbler or shot creator, Niyama keeps it pretty simple. She plays to her advantages and that's what was working for her. She made it her point to make her living with paint touches that were all intentional in getting the right look for her at the basket. Adadevoh couldn't be stopped from getting to her favorite points on the floor and that's what made her outstanding at The Expo.

[player_tooltip player_id='1005188' first='Maryna' last='Yuzhda'] (2026) | 5'11 PF/C | King Philip

"If looks could be deceiving" is an expression that could describe Maryna! As the showcase began, she was setting solid, thorough on-ball and off-ball screens that set her teammates up for success. Yuzhda then quickly transitioned while finding her groove on the court. That unforeseen range swiftly became on display. Not sure if Maryna missed any 3-pointers in live action play all day. She stretched the floor with deadly long-range jumpers that deflated the defense. A real tough cover for any big that wasn't expecting the 3-pointers to start flying. Altoghter Yuzhda was impressive on the day and makes an intriguing prospect in the '26 class.

Lilly Downing (2027) | 5'3 PG | Natick

The sophomore guard was playing with plenty of talent in grades above her and was completely comfortably exercising her floor general skills. Never seemed to get flustered out there. Liliy was on the floor with a good number of upperclassmen that wanted to take the reins with the scoring load, Downing evenly distributed the ball around to them. She was finding teammates cutting and even more impressive was the precision passing that all hit teammates in their hands leading to baskets. An assist machine is exactly what Lily is. During the showcase she put on a facilitation show while also revealing her ability to knock down rhythm jump shots. She gets solid lift on the jump shots that help propel the ball up and over the rim at her size. Not just a dominate ballhandler, her shooting skills allow her to slide to off-ball positions comfortably. Lily certainly showed why she was included in the recently posted 2027 rankings. One of the top pgs in the class.
