Ava is versatile player that can create for herself with skillful moves which include a plethora of change of direction moves. She offers a good number of counters for swarming defenders that are eager to make plays. Palma presents herself as a solid off-ball position scoring option of the wing as well. After the catch, Ava has daring moves that require defenders to be well planted to attempt to make a good stop on her. She moves so well in the halfcourt without the ball too. She will quickly make a face-cut across the lane while making herself available as a can’t miss target. Ava can shoot with the best of them as well. Her shooting mechanics are textbook and the shot making ability is reliable. Palma isn’t too shabby on defense either. She’s able to switch from perimeter players seamlessly in the halfcourt. There’s a true knack for making plays on both sides of the ball and her proficient play will help lead Thayer in their efforts this year.

Ava was sensational out on the floor. She’s a versatile player that can create for herself on the ball, but also slide to an off-ball position scoring option of the wing. As a primary ballhandler she came up the court with a great pace that had the defense constantly backpedaling. When off the ball she was cutting to the basket across the lane while making herself a great target with her hands ready. Palma also knocked down some shots and skillfully crafted counters to aid her in scoring while driving. Ava was able to switch from perimeter players smoothly in half court action. She showed great initiative attempting to create turnovers and worked well with her other teammates. Palma was undeniably a standout performer.
