We have about a week of content from the Top 250 event in Appleton this past weekend, so let's start with Team One today.

In a talented backcourt at West De Pere, we don't see Janquart as often as other guards around the state, but she did some positive things in Appleton. Janquart did a solid job playing off two feet around the rim and was excellent at getting two feet in the paint when she wanted to put some pressure on the rim. It seemed like she got more comfortable as the day went on and looked most comfortable in the 5v5 portion of the event to close things out from the game I watched her play.

I've been a fan of the Milwaukee Academy of Science guard/wing since I first saw her last season. Her length and motor allow her to make impressive effort plays on the defensive end of the floor, and she's improved on the offensive end over the last year. She's become a more consistent shooter and finisher around the basket and looks more confident with the ball. I love how she plays on both ends of the floor. She'll become a prominent figure for the Novas over the next three seasons.

I first saw the Beloit Turner forward at the Premier Fall League at SEA, run by [program_tooltip program_id='713036' first='Wisconsin' last='Academy'], early last month. What I liked about her in Stoughton is what I liked about her game in Appleton. Hodges is a physical forward who can rebound the ball at a high level on both ends and control the paint. Her ability to be a defensive anchor and change the type of shots teams want to take when she's on the floor is impressive. Hodges is an under-the-radar forward who can play at the next level with her skillset if she wants to play at the next level. Keep an eye on her at Turner next season.

A Madison East guard has been an intriguing performer at the 2028 showcase and the top 250. Holmes wasn't a ball-dominant guard, but she showed some intriguing traits. She moved away from the ball to find open space and had a few cuts that led to layups. The Purgolder showed how quick her first step was, regardless of whether she had the ball or didn't, or she put the defense in uncomfortable situations, having to recover to try and make a play on the ball. There's plenty to work on, but the tools are there for her to build with.
