One of the most talented offensive players I’ve seen at the PGH Champions Challenge, her offensive IQ sits among the best.In Team Herro ‘s opening game of Day 2, she displayed pro style moves, scoring on all 3 levels. With her combo of size, skill, and a feel for the game, she has all the tools to be a guard to watch as she continues to develop.

The Milwaukee Academy of Science guard has always been a smart defender who picks up on the flow of a game quickly. Guy reads the game well and has the length and athleticism to pressure the ball handler or get into the passing lanes. She competes on the defensive end of the floor and has always taken pride in her defensive reps. Guy can be a player who can find a role at the next level early because of how well she defends on the perimeter.

Kourtlyn was one of the more “craftier” scorers that I watched at The Expo. She is strong at utilizing her speed, body control, and athleticism to get to the basket, at will, and how to angle her body to consistently knock down the contested mid-range shot over the defense.

Kourtlyn impressed me as one of the better athletes with a great overall feel for the game. A terrific ball handler, she utilized her speed, body control, and athleticism to get to the basket at will. Adept at utilizing body position and attack angles to get any shot she wanted but also showed that she could knock down the mid to long-range shot. It wouldn’t surprise me if she ended up being one of the top Juniors in the state!

2024-25 was the first season I didn’t watch a Milwaukee Academy of Science game. However, I still caught a few of their games on stream. I’ve always been a fan of what Guy could do on the defensive end of the floor and was intrigued by what she could be on the offensive end of the floor. In 2024-25, Guy took a step forward on the offensive end in terms of her consistency, and I’m eager to watch her for the first time in close to a year.

The Milwaukee Academy of Science guard may be 5’10 on rosters, but she plays taller than that. Guy’s length on the defensive end of the floor causes headaches for opposing guards. The way she defends is impressive, and the way she competes is why I love watching her play. She’s engaged on the floor and never loses that focus. On the defensive end, she’s always guarded the best opposing player, and even though she has a competitive edge, she’s one of the calming presences for the Lady Novas. The physical tools and intangibles are all there for her. Guy doesn’t have to score 20 for you to see the value she brings to the court.

We talked about her fellow 2027 at MAS in the other article today, but Guy has become one of my favorite kids to watch in her class. The 5’10 can do anything you’d want a guard or wing to do. The one thing I’ve admired about her since I saw her for the first time was her competitiveness. She came off the bench when I saw her play at MAS, and she immediately went out and defended the best player on the other team. That was my first impression of her, and her effort, ability to make some shots, finishing around the rim, and length have only added to the reasons I’ve liked watching her play.

The physical tools are all there for Guy. She’s 5’10 with as much length as anyone could ask for at that size. She’s competitive and has a desire to improve. However, the one thing she needs is experience. She wants to do everything possible to help her team win and has a calm presence on the floor. She’ll have to learn a few things in time, like figuring out how close she can get before a senior guard gets bonus free throws off rip-throughs. However, a 2027 wanting to compete defensively, with her physical tools and approach to each game, makes me think she could end up as one of the more recruitable kids in the state.
