About Madison

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm an aggressive, opportunistic combo guard who is always hunting for the right read. I probe the defense to force openings if there isn't one. Whether it's hitting the open man, a quick pass and cut, or a hard drive to the rim, I'm always looking for the perfect time to strike. I combine that court vision with high energy defense for an explosive style of play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm super competitive, but I genuinely just love playing the game. Even when the pressure is on or the matchups are tough, I do my best and try to elevate my teammates to do their best too.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm consistently on the Honor Roll at school. When I'm not playing basketball, I play flute in the school band and I'm a member of the robotics team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being a point guard has definitely helped me be a better leader, especially with calling out screens or directing teammates on the court. Being in band and robotics has also taught me a lot about teamwork and collaborating under pressure.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I was little, my family lost everything we had in Hurricane Harvey. We had to move to temporary homes a few times and rebuild our home at the same time. I learned that being together means more than what we have.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a school with a great academic program where I can play in a competitive and hard working environment. I'd love to play for a coaching staff that values basketball IQ, tough defense, and a strong team family.

Salinas has made a few Tip Sheets early in her career and based on what I’m seeing as far as her growth from last season see evaluations here she’s defintely on to something. First off all, she understands how to use her athleticism on both ends of the court and seeing her attack stronger off the dribble and show improved pressure o defense are both huge pluses

salinas created her shot quite well and her first step is going to create some problems because she patiently sets the defender to go by them and stays under control and finishing after the lick was nice, as was her body control. Her court vision was nice both off the dribble as well as in the set, she played solid defense and was another who played the passing lane
