Ally is a young backcourt talent who still has to hone her skills, but she is in the fire playing varsity ball and showed some intrigue to her game. Currently, she is a secondary ball-handler who can initiate the offense if needed, but it is her scoring, especially down the stretch, that helped her to stand out, and that helped her team to complete the come-from-behind victory over Cullman. She scored it well from multiple levels, including from behind the arc. She is young, and her floor game resembles her youth, but she showed that if she can stay in the lab, we could see her game continue to grow.

She played with her back to the basket but also showed her face-up game and her ability to put the rock on the floor and create offense off the bounce. Her length helped her be highly active on the glass and on defense by contesting shots in the paint and blurring driving lanes when guarding in space. She is loaded with potential and is poised to have a solid sophomore season.

Molly is an inside presence with positional size and length. She played the game with exuberant joy and made winning plays on both ends of the floor. She was very active on the glass, and her length greatly impacted her productivity. Offensively, she scored well off put-backs, from behind the arc, and out of the low block. Everything revolves around Molly for the Lady Bearcats. She still needs to get stronger to become more effective in the paint and playing through contact, but overall, she did a good job impacting the stat sheet, especially in the scoring column and on the glass.

She scored 20pts in the final three frames, solidifying an impressive win over Appalchain. She showed her creativity off the bounce and her ability to create offense for herself and her teammates, but her 15pts from behind the arc stood out the most. She is reliable at running the show but showed that she can score it at a high level at any moment.

Taylor is a young talent for the Lady Panthers and was aggressive from the tip. Her offensive game is developing, but she doesn't lack any confidence when it comes to her opportunities. She is a small but gritty guard who plays both ends with the same tenacity. She can score from all levels, and even if she goes cold for a stretch, she can easily find her scoring prowess again because she never stops shooting. Defensively, she makes ball-handlers work hard for everything, as she is not a defender you can relax around. She is a competitor, and I look forward to seeing her grow over the season.

Piper is new to the Plainview squad, yet she looks like she has been in the system for some time. She is a combo guard whose production and impact don't take a dip whether she is on or off the ball. She showed that she is a reliable ball-handler and initiator of the offense despite that not being her primary role. When it comes to what she does best, she provided scoring from multiple levels and was efficient with her opportunities. She is at her best when attacking off the bounce and getting downhill. She is a creator off the bounce, and with the teammates surrounding her, her floor game is a welcomed addition.
