Wilson is a flamethrower from beyond the arc. She can get going in a matter of minutes, and she is not bothered by contested looks. The senior can also drive hard to the basket or create a shot with her slick handles.

Since her freshman year, Da’Mya Wilson Da’Mya Wilson SG/SF Barton | 2026 State AR has been one of the best scorers in the state of Arkansas. That remains the same as she heads into her final season of high school basketball.
Like all of the players I talk about in this article, Wilson can score from anywhere. She is a strong 3-point shooter who can light up the opposition at any moment. If they come out to contest her outside shots, she can simply step in and knock down a jumper from inside the arc. If a lane to the basket opens up, she will not hesitate to go right at the teeth of the defense.
Wilson is a proven scorer, already surpassing the 50-point in her career after scoring 55 points in a game during her freshman campaign with Barton. She is also a solid rebounder and defender, who can get her teammates involved in the game plan.
Da’Mya Wilson Da’Mya Wilson SG/SF Barton | 2026 State AR should be getting more collegiate attention as her senior season commenced. Regardless, she will be one of the exciting players in the state in 2025-26.

Like Johnson, Da’Mya Wilson Da’Mya Wilson SG/SF Barton | 2026 State AR is flying up the rankings. The Barton star is coming off an incredible regular and postseason, and she is looking to terrorize 2A defenses again in 2025-26.
When Wilson has it going, there is not a defender in Arkansas who can stop her. She hits open and contested jumpers like it’s nothing, and she can attack the basket with purpose. If the defense is too tight, she still finds a way to score, or she hands it off to a teammate.
Wilson has already picked up a few college offers, including Coahoma College and Delta State. Frankly, Division I schools should all be after her, but for now, she will have to dominate again during her senior season to earn more offers.
Da’Mya Wilson Da’Mya Wilson SG/SF Barton | 2026 State AR being outside of the top 10 of the 2026 class for the last few cycles was ridiculous. Even though she sits at #7, I highly suspect that she will find her way into the top 5 before her high school career is over.

Barton’s head coach, Ryan Koerdt, has stated publicly, wondering why Da’Mya Wilson Da’Mya Wilson SG/SF Barton | 2026 State AR is not in the top 10 in the 2026 class (insert X link). She was also snubbed from the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette basketball teams, specifically the “Super Six to Watch in 2025-26.” Koerdt advocated for his returning superstar, which in part inspired this article, and he is right.
Wilson led Barton in points, rebounds, and steals in the playoffs, ending her postseason with 38 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals, and 1 block in the state championship game. Though Barton lost a close contest to Izard County Consolidated, they had no answer for Barton’s star junior.
No other teams in the 2A classification had an answer for Wilson, as she scorched Ouachita in the first round for 33 points. During the regular season, Wilson averaged well over 20 points per game, scoring at a high level against any opponent who stood in her way, even against teams in larger classifications.
For Barton Lady Bear fans, Wilson has been scoring at a high rate since she was a freshman, when she put up 55 points against Augusta in 2022. At the time, that was the 3rd-highest scoring game in Arkansas high school girls’ basketball history.
If it is not obvious, Da’Mya Wilson Da’Mya Wilson SG/SF Barton | 2026 State AR should be in the top 10 in the 2026 class because of her scoring ability alone. She was recognized by Crain Kia Conway as the Nothing But Net 2A Girls Most Outstanding Player for this past season, and I imagine she will eclipse 50 points again as she will be the clear #1 option again for the Lady Bears.

Barton fell short, but their star guard duo played outstanding, especially Da’Mya Wilson Da’Mya Wilson SG/SF Barton | 2026 State AR .
Wilson had a game-high 38 points in addition to 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 5 steals, and 1 block. She was 13/30 from the field and 7/15 from behind the 3-point line. She also found ways to get to the free throw line, going 5/7. With her ability to shoot from outside and to find ways to penetrate the basket, there was no way the Cougars were going to be able to stop her.
Sometimes, great offensive players do not put in much effort on the defensive end. That was not the case with Wilson, who was involved in every major defensive stop for the Lady Bears. She forced turnovers, made plays on help defense, and kept her assignment from having a clean look.

It is hard to bet against this Lady Bear team, especially with Da’Mya Wilson Da’Mya Wilson SG/SF Barton | 2026 State AR helping lead the way. I mentioned her star guard teammate in an article yesterday, but let us learn about this scoring machine.
When Wilson was a freshman, she surpassed the half-century mark in a game, having one of the best single-game scoring outbursts in Arkansas high school girls’ basketball history. After averaging well over 20 points per game during the regular season, she is bound to make defenses suffer in the postseason.
There is not much Wilson cannot do offensively. She can shoot from way downtown, drive inside, finish amongst the trees, and pull up from just inside the arch. With all of the attention she draws when she has the ball in her hands, she is capable of finding wide-open teammates for easy buckets.
Da’Mya Wilson Da’Mya Wilson SG/SF Barton | 2026 State AR is a threat to go for 30 or more every time she steps out on the floor. She may very well do that in the tournament, so make sure to watch.
