Williams is a dominant rim protector, and there’s no reason not to expect that dominance to continue going forward.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="31842" first="Madalynn" last="Nalley"], Assumption - </strong>Another strong rim protector, Nalley combines her inside presence with impressive mobility and athleticism. These skills allowed her to average 3.2 swats-a-game last year. Her versatility should continue to serve her well on the defensive end of the floor.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="80493" first="Shelby" last="Calhoun"], Christian Academy-Louisville - </strong>Calhoun was an incredibly impressive all-around defender last year. While not necessarily a traditional rim-protector, Calhoun nonetheless blocked 2.3 shots per-game last season. Her overall defensive acumen makes her shot-blocking abilities just a part of a great defensive game.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="80513" first="Sydney" last="Clark"], Elizabeth - </strong>Another player who is not necessarily a rim-protector, Clark uses her athleticism and incredible timing to block a lot of shots. She averaged 1.9 blocks-per-game last year, many of them coming in the form of come from behind rejections. This style requires skill and precision, of which Clark has plenty.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="31803" first="Maddie" last="Scherr"], Ryle - </strong>Is there anything she can’t do? Widely recognized as one of, if not the, best player in the state, Scherr is proficient is basically every facet of her game, and shot-blocking is no exception. Scherr averaged 1.5 blocks-per-game last season, and excellent defense should remain a staple of her game during her campaign for Miss Basketball.
