2025 Impact Forwards

Here's a batch of senior forwards who should have big impacts this winter. This group includes some skilled posts who can operate down low and a couple who can even play along the perimeter. There are also a couple of wings on this list who impact the game with their versatility inside and out. Check out some senior forwards to know this winter.    Chestnut is an intriguing post who's shown she can go to work around the paint, but also has the ability to step out and sink some catch-and-shoot threes. She shows some good fight in the interior to work for second and third chances, does a good job getting low position on the blocks, and uses either hand to finish at the rim. She'll be an important piece for Shorecrest this season and is someone you can't lose track of because of her improved shooting ability.     Lucas is a post you want to keep as far away from the rim as possible. When she gets deep position she has the strength and touch to finish through defenders, and can be a real threat drawing fouls. She has a nice stroke at the line and should be a threat to float around penetration and knock down those short to midrange jumpers.     The tall wing is known for her shooting but she's shown a lot more capabilities working off the bounce over the spring and summer that has made her a big presence at the rim. She can still bury shots at a high rate behind the arc but she can also pull out quick moves on the go, hit a behind-the-back dribble and explode the other direction, and has been a big factor splitting defenders and getting to the rim for Arlington. She'll play a big role in her senior year.     Medina has some good size at 6-foot-1 but she's also pretty skilled for her size. She rebounds the ball, can handle it well enough to create some shots and penetration, and has also shown some great playmaking in transition. Her skill is evident in the post too where she displays solid footwork, and she can take that footwork outside to create space and knock down some threes.     Her length and athleticism are hard to match or get a feel for until you're actually facing off against her on the hardwood. She's a beast on the glass, racking up put-backs and showing some great hands to tip balls back up and in, and has that quick second jump to pair with her 6-foot-2 frame and really give opposing players fits. She can also cause fits for offenses trying to move the ball through her side of the floor because her wingspan covers so much ground and leads to deflections and steals.     The Chiawana forward is a focal point of their offense and can score in multiple ways down low. She has the strength to bully through defenders and finish but also has some elite post moves to split defenders, create some contact and space and finish. But it's not just her skill and strength down low, it's how she moves to get good position and the patience she shows to repost, move block to block, and gain an advantage before she even has the rock. To make things even tougher on defenses, she is also a threat to knock down shots outside and is a dynamic post player who's signed on to play at WSU next year.
