The Southwest Wisconsin native is a player who does all the little things right. Olson is a skilled perimeter defender who can move her feet defensively and make plays on the ball. She’s also been one of the more consistent perimeter shooters in her time at the high school level. She always seems to be around the play and making things happen that can swing a game.

She’s an excellent quarterback on the court, a point guard who sees the floor extremely well and can make the right pass. She has slick handles and is in control of the ball, and the game. Good mid range jumper with solid footwork. Able to get open and create.

As impressive as Albany/Monticello has been at the D5 level, I may argue that Heidi Olson Heidi Olson 5'6" | CG Albany/Monticello | 2028 State WI has been their most important player this season. Olson is their best two-way kid, has been a reliable perimeter threat, can create off the dribble, can defend the top perimeter players in D5, and her coach won’t be too worried. She may not have the notoriety some of the kids who’ve played at the state tournament have in D5, but she’ll get there.
