Desert Vista/Pinnacle Notes

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On <strong>Monday December 16^th</strong> the <strong>Desert Vista Thunder</strong> traveled to take on the <strong>Pinnacle Pioneers</strong> in a battle of two of the better teams in the <strong>AIA</strong>. It was a back-and-forth battle as the biggest lead was <strong>Desert Vista</strong> by 6 through the first three quarters. <strong>Pinnacle</strong> made a run of their own in the fourth and final quarter. Her size and strength were more than the Thunder could handle. Despite being doubled team often, she was still able to establish position deep in the paint. She got to wherever she really wanted to with a smooth handle and a good change of pace. She hit some difficult shots with defenders all over here. She came in with the green light and wasn't afraid to let it fly. She had some timely three pointers in the 4^th quarter. She also showed that she's more than a three-point shooter. She's always been athletic but, in this game, she showed off her ability to attack the rim and finish effectively. She also displayed a very nice outside shot. She set the tone early with her outside shooting. She continued her hot shooting in the 2nd half by hitting some shots that kept her team in the lead.
