After narrowly falling to Middle Township on Friday, Cherry Hill West needed to rebound against a gritty Williamstown squad. Lewis paced the Lions' effort with 19 points in a 54-28 victory over the Braves. She excelled driving to the basket and made key layups throughout the contest.

Lutz tied Angie Ricci with a team-high nine points in Shawnee's 51-24 domination over Clearview. The 5'10" power forward is in the beginning of what could be a career year as she is averaging just over 10 points a game with 52 total points through five contests so far this winter. The junior made four free throws in the win, and Shawnee redeemed itself after Friday's loss to Williamstown. This year, she's taken more of a leadership role for this young Shawnee squad that started two freshmen on Saturday.

Blong led Moorestown with 12 points as the Quakers defeated Cinnaminson, 44-40, in an excellent game between two top-ten-ranked South Jersey programs. A dynamic player, she found the net in many different ways with two three-pointers, layups, and free throws in the victory. The best part about the junior? She's a three-sport athlete who also excels on the lacrosse and soccer fields.

When Blong is hot, it'll be hard for any team to stop the Quakers, who have a loaded lineup that also features [player_tooltip player_id='601276' first='Analyse' last='Intenzo'] and [player_tooltip player_id='583708' first='Rima' last='Takla'].

Fans, opposing coaches, college coaches--- you name it--- need to keep an eye out for [player_tooltip player_id='913906' first='Jillian' last='Guzzardo']. Despite a loss to Shawnee, the Clearview freshman started strong, scoring five of her seven total points in the opening quarter. She handles the ball really well and keeps her head up. The point guard position is one of the most difficult positions for a freshman to step into at the varsity level, and Guzzardo is making the most of her opportunities.

Said Clearview coach Casey Heitman: "We joke that she asks a million questions, but she wants to learn."

Guzzardo is definitely a rookie to keep an eye on as the season progresses. She'll undoubtedly continue to ask Heitman as many questions as needed as she continues to learn the ropes when it comes to playing varsity basketball.

One of the best guards in the Garden State, the 5'10" junior finished with 13 points to lead Cherokee to a redeeming 36-30 victory over previously unbeaten Middle Township. What the final box score won't tell you is how well she performed under pressure on Saturday. She knocked down seven of ten free throw attempts in the fourth quarter to help seal the win.

A three-year starter for the Chiefs, Alaba scored 400 points last year as a sophomore and is currently 349 points away from 1,000 for her career. Look for her to continue to be the leading force for this offense as the season progresses.

The senior complemented Alaba well, also finishing with 13 points in the win. Most of Selverian's points came from three-pointers and two-point attempts. She tallied six points in the final quarter--- one three, one two-point shot, and one free throw. Just like Alaba, she was calm, cool, and collected under pressure.
