Maggie did a terrific job playing the half court defense. She kept her arms outstretched wide and hands active to deflect the ball and force turnovers. Hyper-focused to try and be disruptive and defend at a high level. She understood the assignment today!

Lutz tied Angie Ricci with a team-high nine points in Shawnee’s 51-24 domination over Clearview. The 5’10” power forward is in the beginning of what could be a career year as she is averaging just over 10 points a game with 52 total points through five contests so far this winter. The junior made four free throws in the win, and Shawnee redeemed itself after Friday’s loss to Williamstown. This year, she’s taken more of a leadership role for this young Shawnee squad that started two freshmen on Saturday.
