2025 Rankings: Newly Added PGs/CGs

These newly added point guards and combo guards all have what it takes to play at the next level, and have been showing out this winter to catch our attention and join this update to the 2025 rankings. Check out some seniors playing at a high level this year.    Wilson is a speedy guard who does a great job keeping the pace high, looking to attack inside, and using her quickness to apply pressure on both ends. She's a guard who's able to play fast and aggressive yet stay in control and hit some nice passes to set up teammates. She also has a pretty smooth stroke from 3-point and has been a big factor for them running the show while they are without sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='748943' first='Aylah' last='Cornwall'].     McInyre's a tough guard who can share some ballhandling duties and loves to get downhill and to the rim where she's a pretty tough finisher. She can handle contact, goes at the rim hard, and shows some nice footwork to step around defenders without losing her pace. She came up big for them on their run to the 4A title game last season and has been off to a solid start this winter.     Shintaffer has stepped up this season to fill some holes left from talented guards graduating. She's a combo guard who provides a calming presence with the ball, doesn't seem to get out of control and feels space for her shots well, especially around the paint. She has a nice stroke out to 3-point too, and does well to stay active, make decisive cuts after passes, fill to space, and help out teammates who get stuck. She also does well defensively to position herself in spots to make plays and has some scrappiness to her game that allows her to get deflections and boards here and there.     Meyer is a tenacious, high-energy guard who can knock down the outside shot and does a great job finding teammates. Tahoma is a very balanced team and she's currently second on the squad with 2.4 apg. She's had three games with 4+ assists and it's because she's able to get to her spots off the dribble and keep her eyes up over the floor. She also has great feet that make her an excellent perimeter defender.     It's rare you find a point guard who rebounds as well as Johnson does. She's not only the showrunner for her team, but she shows her toughness on a nightly basis with her effort around the rim, cleaning up shots, ripping down defensive boards and getting her team running. She also shows some nice shooting touch and the combo of her ability to run a team, be tough inside, and that shooting touch makes her a really interesting player in the 2025 class.
