About Vickiana

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my game as a “defense-first, then offense” type of playstyle. I enjoy playing defense and bringing energy by hustling and being aggressive. That’s how I set the tone for my games. I would say I’m a decent shooter and a solid free-throw shooter as well. As a young point guard, I am still learning how to be a floor general, but I trust in my game and stay locked in with God’s plan.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality allows me to have fun with the game while knowing when to lock in and play hard. My mentality as a player is something I am still working on. I never give up, but I know I need to build confidence in myself once I do, I’ll be set.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I received the Leadership Lane Award, which means a lot to me as a point guard. Being a leader on and off the court is essential, and this award has helped boost my confidence, allowing me to project my voice and become a better leader and floor general.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have strong teamwork skills, ensuring that everyone is heard and that I’m never selfish or greedy, both on and off the court. My work ethic is one of my most valuable strengths, as I love staying in the gym, hitting the weight room, and keeping myself busy.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college not too far from home that challenges me both on and off the court, academically and athletically, while providing a supportive community. I want a place where I can grow, feel safe, and have opportunities to pursue a career when basketball stops bouncing. Most importantly, I want to step on campus ready to learn, develop, and play the game I love for as long as possible.

Her ability to handle the ball, knock down shots, and play with pace and speed translated well on the big stage with plenty of eyes on her. Chery competes at a high level, and I foresee her having a breakout year at Seacrest Country Day, where she can impact the game in multiple ways across the stat sheet. With a productive high school season, she has the potential to break into the Top 50 in our next rankings. Chery is definitely a must-follow this year.
