Dailin Delgado Dailin Delgado 5'4" | PG/SG Seacrest Country Day | 2029 FL competed for the entire game and spent a lot of time getting up off the floor. There was some physical play going on in the semifinals, but the young guard didn’t appear to be phased by it. Delgado played a key role in press break and her ability to attack defenses and set up teammates for shots was impressive. Delgado finished the game with 6 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals.

Dailin is one of the smoothest freshman guards in the state. She can score and pass effectively with both hands, making her hard to guard. Her strength on drives and ability to find open teammates gives Seacrest Country Day a real playmaking weapon on their path to the state championship.

Delgado is quick, has good handles and is a playmaker. She impacts the game in all three phases. In transition, she is a player who has good court vision and can pass the rock. On defense, she plays tough on the ball and is aggressive and competitive. On offense, she can drive and attack – and is dangerously effective. She will be a freshman to watch in the final 4.

Dailin is a tough guard who made her presence felt with strong on-ball defense and consistent effort on both ends of the floor. She pushed the ball well in transition and showed good feel as a playmaker which was highlighted by a smooth assist on a sharp bounce pass. Dailin did a nice job attacking the defense and kicking out to shooters while also knocking down a deep three when the defense backed off. She is physical and decisive when driving downhill and finished strong by using both hands well as a passer and scorer. DD is a true competitor that played a major role in securing a quality win for her team.

Dailin is a player that I briefly saw in Chicago, so I’m excited to watch her more in a showcase setting against her peers. SWFL seems to be an area of Florida that flies under the radar, but I look forward to seeing her work in Longwood after impressing me in the short timeframe I saw her. She led her team in scoring as an 8th grader with 9.5 points per game and was named 1st Team All-County. Seacrest Country Day is and will be one of the best teams in that area for years to come.
