USE CODE "tinnon30" FOR 30% OFF THE FIRST PURCHASE OF ANY SUBSCRIPTION

When I think about this game, it is the one sport where you have to work on your craft continuously. So many factors can come into play when you are trying to perfect your game. For instance, when you are young, you learn how to dribble. Then you learn how to dribble with your weak hand, then it's perfecting your shot, then it's adding distance to your shot, the footwork, the layups, the different finishes, and so forth. Then you add a defender in the mix and you see how the game can get difficult real quick. So you as a prospect must always enhance your game to stay on top.

Also, I will say this too, as a prospect, please understand that you will receive and hear information and you must always make a sound decision. People will sometimes say you can't, or that's not good. They may say you should do this or go play with them. What you must do is make a sound and solid decision that will help you propel your game. No coach wants to be detrimental to your development. If so, they need to be out of the game. Yes, you may have a tough coach, but sometimes you have to weed through the tone of the message at hand.

This past week I have heard some crazy stories. Some where kids have thought they weren't worthy or good. Some were about kids going to other schools/programs for better opportunities to compete. Prospect, this is what I am going to tell you, you are enough. Enjoy where your feet are now. Sure some things look shiny on the other side, but you are here for a reason. Pick up that ball and continue doing what you are doing. Don't get me wrong, there are great places out there where you could fit in. Wherever you think you would like to go, make sure your development is their number 1 priority. This is your career. Your opportunity. So you need the maximize the time you have. One day, this ball is gonna stop bouncing for us. Right now, you got the ability to make all the moves. So be sound when making any decisions and know you are priority #1. Enjoy the game and let this platform take you wherever. It's hard work and takes dedication. I will tell you this, it's a sweet ride to be on amongst solid peers who love the grind just as you do.

Here are some prospects who are more the enough.

She may not get as much publicity as her peers, but this kid is solid. Talk about someone who has the work ethic, she has stayed the course and has gotten better each and every year. It shows in her performances as she puts up solid numbers to help her ball club win games. Last week, she had a double-double, 17 points and 11 rebounds. This kid is tough, one who injects energy into her club. As the tournament approaches, coaches will be sure to have this young lady on their scouting report.

She's earned everything she has gotten from this game. Talk about work ethic, this kid is passionate about the game of basketball and it shows every time she steps onto the floor. Year after year, this girl seems to add tools to her game. It started as being a downhill threat, then the pull-up jumper, then the marksmanship from deep, and the list goes on. Personally, I love her ability to handle the ball and how she has a great feel for the game. She's a heady ball player who competes no matter what's at stake. She's a Clemson commit who is a gem for sure.

Talk about a kid who competes, this solid PG is a selfless athlete who grinds away at her craft. A 3-level scoring threat who gets after it on both ends of the floor. She's a solid lefty who is creative and crafty. I love her ability to not only score the basketball but also find the hot hand when running the offense. She's active on D, creating pressure that leads to turnovers. Her play has helped the Lady Eagles soar high this season. Look for them to make a magical run to finish out the year.

Growth. The one word that describes this young lady. She received an offer from Belmont this past week, which is a testament to her hard work and will to work. I've always said she is the Cameron Brink of Tennessee basketball. She can do work on the interior or stretch the floor and knock it down from 3. She owns the boards, blocks shots, and locks up the opposition. This kid is nothing but solid. Each year she gets better and better. Look for her to continue to grow as she not only climbs up the rankings but also puts Franklin High girls basketball back on the map.

Someone who has stayed the course and put in the work. Speed and determination, are something this girl possesses as she gets after it. Can score it from multiple spots on the floor, but it's her ability to create chaos that gives her the edge. She's active on the defensive end, pressuring her opponents into turnovers. She has been a solid option for Coach Jackson this season, bringing that dawg mentality to the table. Look for the Lady Eagles to make a run this tournament and shock some people along the way.
