She may not get as much publicity as her peers, but this kid is solid. Talk about someone who has the work ethic, she has stayed the course and has gotten better each and every year. It shows in her performances as she puts up solid numbers to help her ball club win games. Last week, she had a double-double, 17 points and 11 rebounds. This kid is tough, one who injects energy into her club. As the tournament approaches, coaches will be sure to have this young lady on their scouting report.

Maggie is a winner! She makes all of the winning plays! I love the effort that she brings to every game. One of my favorite plays by her was the offensive rebound and put-back against Greeneville. Frana continues to shoot the ball at a high clip. If you leave her open from 3, count it! Maggie is a state champion in numerous sports for a reason!

Multi- sport athlete who is a gamer. Hard working kid who competes her tail off on both ends of the floor. Has a nice mid-range game, can stretch the floor, won’t hesitate to challenge opponents near the rim. Plays solid defense, does the little things right, she’s the type of kid who gives it her all on every single possession. Look for her to step up in a big way and become a solid factor in the success of this Lady Irish ball club.

Her tenacity rebounding and high IQ will allow us transition into high paced multi action offense. Her ability to play the game and covet winning over stats will have the lady Irish chasing a third title.

I also enjoy any chance I get to brag on this kid. By my count, over a 3 game period she took a total of 3 shots. But, she led her team in rebounding, blocks, and had nice assists numbers. Plus, she’s one of the best on the ball defenders in her class. Again….not everything that is good can be quantified. The box score is a data point, but not a defining point. She’s a star in her role, and does what is asked by her coach. The basketball world needs more

You really gotta understand the game to see what Frana brings. She talks on D. She sets hard screens. She never misses a box out. She’s never late on a switch. She stays LOCKED IN on D. She makes the right pass, on time and on target.

opens eyes everywhere she goes. She simply does all the little things that coaches care about: she stays locked in on D, she never misses an assignment boxing out, she gets deflections, she wins 50/50 balls, she makes the extra pass and does it quickly. All the kid does it impact winning.

. Through the state tournament, she’s played basically every second for Knox Catholic, and never comes off the floor. AND, she’s only averaging 1.5 shot attempts per game. The kid doesn’t care about scoring!
She cares about rebounding, defense, loose balls, charges, making the right pass, and winning basketball games. Players and parents please take notice: you don’t have to score even one point to play 32 minutes a game on a state championship team. Just be a star in your role, and that’s what Frana has done.

If you watched Knox Catholic vs Webb, you watched a treat. Knox Catholic won 44-39, and it was a great one! The atmosphere was electric, the crowd was fantastic, and this Webb teams thinks they can beat anyone (stay tuned).
In game like this, you really get to see what kids are made of, and I simply think

is as competitive as any kid out there. Vs Webb, her fingerprints were all over the game, without having to even put up shot on the offensive kid. Kids take note: your role doesn’t haven’t be a big-time score to still have a big time role and impact.

As a sophomore, Frana was is a starter and major contributor on Catholics DII State Champion team. She’s the type of kid that values winning about stats, and that shows in how she contributes to her team. She’s a fantasic rebounder as a wing, and super tough defender that plays bigger than she is, simply by her effort level and understanding of the game.
Frana is the type of kid that will pull a rebound, and then has the skill and IQ to put the ball on the floor and lead the fastbreak herself. Really diverse in her skill set. Super switchable defender. She will again be a starter for Catholic this year and will be critical to their efforts to defend their Gold Ball.
