About Katie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as aggressive, defensive, and creative by using my skills to outsmart my opponents.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a competitive person who is very nice, I value teamwork, and I work really hard to achieve my goals.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in club basketball and volleyball. I play basketball at WAR athletics and volleyball at galveston volleyball club. I was also inducted into the NJHS and served as vice president.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership skills in NJHS by taking initiative and guiding my peers through group projects. I love working as a team whether its in sports or at school and I enjoy collaborative environments where everyone contributes on and off the court. Community service has taught me the importance of giving to others and being grateful for the life, and opportunities that I have.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Some challenges I faced is balancing school and sports when finals are coming up and we have lots of work but were also leaving school for games a couple of times a week. This experience has taught me how to stay organized and be on top of my work.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a strong program for the major I will be in, One with a good sports program, and a supportive community. I want a place where I feel welcomed and safe.
