Bailey left a lasting impression on me when she competed for the Copper Kings in the State Semifinals last year. Her athleticism, toughness, aggressive downhill drives, and accuracy from the perimeter stood out. At the Zero Star Showcase, Bailey had another strong outing. She created space with shifty crossover dribbles, penetrated gaps with a dribble burst, and made smooth transfers to score at the rim. Bailey generates steals with her scrappy defense and quick feet. She’s coming off an All-U.P. Second Team sophomore season and is a prospect to follow at Calumet.

Bailey stood out for Calumet at the Breslin Center, and she had a solid day at the Zero Star Showcase. Bailey spun her defender with a furious combination of crossover dribbles and made a split-second transfer to score the layup. She ripped the ball away clean and snagged a steal on the perimeter. I noted that Bailey changes hands well while handling the ball, and she knocked down threes with confidence from the corner. Bailey beat her girl to the basket, driving baseline, and finished the layup. Her athleticism, aggressive defense, and scoring presence will be exciting to watch again this winter.

Bailey turned some heads during the D3 State Semifinals with Calumet. She is a three-point shooting threat who can take the ball hard downhill to cause fouls and score layups. Bailey keeps her hands active to cause deflections and jumps passing lanes to grab steals. I’m excited to see her compete again at the Zero Star Showcase tomorrow.

Bailey had a big second quarter for the Copper Kings during their State Semifinals matchup. She drove hard to the basket to cause a foul and knocked down both free throws with a good follow-through. Bailey showed her perimeter shooting skills by drilling a smooth triple up top and from the wing. She demonstrated true toughness by coming back into the game after experiencing a collision while diving for a loose ball. Bailey poured in eight points with four rebounds for Calumet.
