In this article we highlight five prospects out of the 2028 Class in Nebraska that have recently been added to our PGH system during this Update. Each individual is someone that has shown some promise in one way or another over their years on the Varsity floor. There is no doubt about that.

It's always impressive to average a double-double, anyway you want to slice it. [player_tooltip player_id='1180598' first='Devyn' last='Young'] accomplished this feat these past three months while she recorded 12.5 PPG and 11.4 RPG. These numbers say something. They say Young is always working to be in the right positions on both sides of the ball, she possesses a higher motor than most other at her position or that are her age, and that there could be a foundation to build on here. Young also made big impacts defensively with 2.1 BPG and 2 SPG in their 24 contests. This is an impactful presence. She works with her natural size advantage to bully her oppositions underneath the basket. Especially in conference. I wouldn't be surprised if Young finishes her high school career averaging a double-double. If that happens, it will definitely be something to be proud of.

The Bunger family is a well known one at Wilcox-Hildreth with their current triplets out of the 2025 Class about to graduate. Another Bunger that I'd get to know is Camryn, who competed on the Varsity floor as a freshman this season in 21 contests. Bunger had one of those seasons that is going to get her ready for the next one. Not to look too far into the future but Bunger had consistent minutes, she put up small but notable numbers in multiple positive statistical categories, and she showed promise as a leader in other facets of the game. We are early in the process but we are definitely going to be hearing about Carmyn once again, sooner rather than later.

There is a lot to love about [player_tooltip player_id='1221202' first='Audrey' last='Dieckman'] of Yutan High School. Dieckman saw the floor at the end of contests basically the majority of this Winter because of how well rounded her Varsity program was. At the times that Dieckman did see the floor, she demonstrated a sweet shooting stroke from deep off of the catch at the wing or in the corner depending where the pass is coming from. She has also proven that she is willing to get into the middle for a rebound or two when the situational calls for it. Yutan is going to need some prospects to step up again this upcoming season and I expect Dieckman to be an individual who see's a consistent role in their system.

[player_tooltip player_id='1221204' first='Kaylee' last='Karr'] was able to get into the game seven times this Winter with her team going 21-5 throughout their year. This Silver Lake group was led by the upperclassmen this season and most of them will be returning for one more go-around in about six months. I still think [player_tooltip player_id='1221204' first='Kaylee' last='Karr'] will compete more as a sophomore than she did as freshman. She is a CG at 5'8, she does everything pretty well, and she doesn't need the ball in her possession to be productive. She has proven that she can make something out of nothing in tight moments in moderation and I think she can put together an memorable career at the varsity level before we know it.

[player_tooltip player_id='1221212' first='Hilary' last='Ray'] might be young in the game but she has already put together an experienced resumé up until this point. Ray is a guard that has smart basketball IQ, good coordination, and a calm demeanor. When the moment is at its biggest, Ray is willing to step up to hit a big shot or to make a game winning stop on defense. We saw glimpses of that, over and over, these past few months. You can tell that the game of basketball is slower to Ray than it is to others. When you watch her defensively, she gets her hands on a lot of tips/deflections because she keeps it simple and watches where the ball is placed in the opponents hands, usually leading to a turnover in some fashion. OC is going to be relevant for years to come so it'll be exciting to see what Ray can do over her career.
