PGH Victory Region Kickoff: Top 13U Talent To Track Over Summer

The energy and skill were high, and it was clear these young players were putting on a show. Her length matches well with her skillset, and she's able to utilize it on both sides of the ball. Offensively, she can get it going from all levels and never gets rattled with pressure. Defensively, her length and patience are her major keys. The first thing that jumps out at you is her athleticism, and after that it's the poise she has on the court. Not once did I witness her being frustrated. She has a tremendous amount of confidence offensively, she can get to the rim with only a couple moves, she can knock down the long ball, and on the defensive side her length and foot speed usually helps her win her matchup. Outside of her ability to score whenever, her control and understanding of pace, speed, and patience of this game is way beyond her years and it's amazing to watch. She had multiple moments this weekend where you have to question if she's actually only a 7th grader. If you're a college coach or a national scout, this kid needs to be on your radar. The handle, the speed, the IQ, and the ability to switch in and out of scoring aggression to playmaking aggression is fun to watch. Deziah was a major piece to the success that her program had this weekend, and you can just tell that she's only getting better. With both hands she shows confidence and control. She had some moments in the game I watched of her where you can see she's ahead of her time in certain aspects. The Dream is full of talented young players and Manzke is in that top pool.
