Brown has continued to separate herself, whether at these showcase events or during the AAU season. Her scoring ability is there at all three levels, but what continues to stand out to me is the IQ she brings to the floor. She makes pinpoint passes, quick reads, and has a sense of riskiness to how she plays as well. You can tell a lot of basketball is being watched, and she seems to download what she sees and apply it with her own sense of creativity. She’ll be entering a powerhouse program that may not need her scoring right away, so the playmaking skill she brings could be utilized early.

Addison showed some nice scoring ability during her time on the floor on Sunday. She can kill you with her jab step, and has a great floater on the baseline.

Addison played on the best 3×3 team out of 24 squads put together at the event. She has nice lefty layup skills, and can get crafty on a fast break; going with a reversal to avoid a trailing defender.

Addison tells me that she’s at her best when she’s facilitating, or when she can drive to the hoop and create a shot.

Addison proved to be a lethal scoring threat for her team, dropping in 9 points on four field goals in her second game of the day.

Addison does really well with a drive and pump-fake in the lane. She’ll kill you with her jab step, and has strong lefty layup skills.

On Sunday she played on the best 3×3 team, which shows an ability to adapt quickly to new teammates in a new environment.

Offensively, Brown has a good floater on the baseline, and is crafty on a fast break. I watched her use a clever reverse layup to beat a trailing defender when she had a fast break opportunity.

Brown is one of the more hyped players coming into her freshman season, and if you’ve ever been present for any of her AAU games over the past couple of years, you can get a good understanding of why. She is full of creativity and aggression and can score with the best players on the floor. She could very well be a first-team All-Event nominee.

Brown has had scouts tuning into her games over the past couple of years, and it’s due to her skill set at such a young age. The tools are there to be a key figure for Nazareth over time. The scoring can be done from the inside to the outside, and defensively, her length helps her contain guards. She has a flair and craftiness to her game too, and that’s all confidence. At this age, that’s a need.

Can shoot the three and has good court awareness, driving through the lane, ready to adjust her move to the defense. When the paint gets crowded, she is able to finish strong with a floater over the defense. With her ability to shoot from the perimeter and attack the rim, the defense struggles to matchup with her.

A true point guard that makes solid reads that teammates often find themselves in great positions to make things happen. Brown can score at all 3 levels but what stands out about her game is that she takes pride in playing defense her talents will be on display at Neenah High School this weekend at the PGH Champions Challenge.

Brown has always had a high level skill set, and now the confidence is growing along with it. The handle has been a strength, but her playmaking is where you’re seeing real growth. She’s making tougher reads, delivering riskier passes with accuracy, and pulling in multiple defenders before getting the ball out quickly. Both her confidence and overall game are trending up. Strong potential.

Smart! Recognizes when to set up the offense. Brown causes problems on defense! Pretty cross over that gets her open looks at the rim! Has range from deep three territory! And when she picks pockets and passes- she’s going to score! 

Addison has a mature type of game that allows her to be effective from all areas on the court. Her length matches well with her skillset, and she’s able to utilize it on both sides of the ball. Offensively, she can get it going from all levels and never gets rattled with pressure. Defensively, her length and patience are her major keys. Such a bright future.
