<p>Today, I would like to provide a glance at five athletes coming off productive freshman seasons who will be added to the Kansas Class of 2028 rankings before the end of the month.</p>

<p>Athletes, parents, and coaches will need to return on April 22 to see where these five talented youngsters landed in the rankings.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1231665' first='Leah' last='Day']</strong>, 5'7”, CG, Trego, ‘28</p>

<p>Trego's Day is all set to join the rankings. She was a key contributor for the Golden Eagles as a freshman. She scored 5.8 points per game and averaged 5.3 rebounds. She shot 57 percent from the free-throw line over 19 games.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1231671' first='Payton' last='Carter']</strong>, 5'2”, PG, Sedan, ‘28</p>

<p>Sedan's Carter played 31 minutes per game as a freshman. She scored 5.7 points per game and collected 4.4 rebounds per contest. She makes solid decisions on the court and can play shut-down defense. She shot 51 percent from the free-throw line for the Devils.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1231673' first='Bretlynn' last='Westrup']</strong>, 5'1”, CG, South Central, ‘28</p>

<p>Westrup is a quick guard who can score from deep or lead the team in transition. She shot 37 percent from the 3-point range. She scored five points per contest in 20 games played. She also chipped in with averages of at least one assist, rebound, and steal per game.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1231674' first='Katelyn' last='Reiss']</strong>, 5'7”, CG, Southwestern Heights, ‘28</p>

<p>Reiss contributed significant minutes for the Southwestern Heights Mustangs. She scored 4.9 points per game and averaged three rebounds over 22 games played. She shot 61 percent from the free-throw line and 30 percent from both the field and 3-point range.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1231677' first='Ava' last='Franklin']</strong>, 5'3”, SG, Oswego, ‘28</p>

<p>Franklin did a little bit of everything on the court for the Indians. She played 25.9 minutes per game in 19 games played and averaged 4.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.2 steals per contest.</p>
