Marble City Invitational: Shot Blockers

I watched games live all day on Saturday, and I was able to catch a few games online for Friday &amp; Sunday. If you were in the gym April 11th-13th, you watched talent! College coaches packed the baseline, and a few kids walked away with offers to play at the next level. She stands at 6'4, and she has great length! I loved when she had back to back blocks in one game. She knows how to stay with the play! She does a great job defensively. She recorded 6 rebounds and 5 blocks in one game. She followed up with 3 blocks, 3 steals, and 9 rebounds the next game. If she isn't blocking shots, she is making opponents alter them. This athlete stands at 6'6 with an incredible wingspan. In one game she recorded 12 points, 17 rebounds, and 2 blocks. She does a great job rebounding the ball and keeping the ball high. She runs the floor exceptionally well, and she has her hands ready! I was left completely impressed with the improvement by Jenny. She is going to be a matchup nightmare for a lot of opponents. She made sure you felt her presence on the inside. When she blocks shots, she does so with authority! I watched numerous athletes try to shoot over this one, and she made sure it didn't happen. I love the physicality that she plays with. She finishes strong through contact, and she finishes with both hands. She play under control, and extremely well off two feet. I love the motor that she plays with! She crashes the boards extremely hard. She defends at a high level! She blocks, alters, and deflects balls. She keeps her hands and feet active! She plays extremely hard on both ends of the court. She had numerous double-figure scoring games! Jhaniya was one of the few athletes that picked up an offer from Lander University. She's a fundamentally sound athlete with a great understanding of the game. She knows how to position. She has great footwork, and she can go left or right! She's a rebounding machine that does not take a play off. She does a great job using her length on the defensive end to block and alter shots. She's strong and makes it difficult for smaller guards to drive in the paint. She knows how to control the paint on both ends of the court. After watching her this past weekend, I know exactly why she has offers (including D1) to play at the next level.
