Gabby DeBord Gabby DeBord 6'3" | PF PCA | 2027 State TN at the PF position has all the skills to move up a significant amount in the Prep Girls Hoops rankings in the future.

DeBord’s coordination stands out greatly. Most high school players at her height struggle with the following trait. DeBord can pass out of the high post, get open shots with her footwork in the post, and can hit 3-pointers. She can do all of the following at a high level. Her versatile game allows her to contribute to winning even if her shot does not fall.

DeBord also has a mid-range jumper in the game. Her high relase point on her shot makes her near impossible to guard at times, especially out of the high post. From there, she can pick apart defenders by either stepping into her shot, attacking the basket, or throwing a pass to a cutting teammate.

If I am a coach at the next level, I want DeBord on my team! She’s a fundamentally sound athlete with a great understanding of the game. She knows how to position. She has great footwork, and she can go left or right! She’s a rebounding machine that does not take a play off. She does a great job using her length on the defensive end to block and alter shots. She walked away from the Marble City Invitational with an offer from Johnson University!

Slowly coming into her own, she can be used down low in the painted area, in the mid-range, and will occasionally step out on the perimeter and shoot the 3-ball. Her size enables her to contribute on the boards on both ends, giving her team second chances and eliminating second-shot attempts for opponents. Her length enables her to block shots, which normally forces teams not to take good shots. She is still growing (literally,) and her game is evolving even more as she plays with each contest.

Stretch 4 that has great size and length. Can play in the interior, or stretch the floor and play on the perimeter. She too is great in the high-low action. Has a nice touch from the mid-range, where she possesses a threat to teams. This kid can block shots, contributes on the boards, and clogs up the lanes. I love her ability to run her floor in transition and get over the top passes that lead to finishes. Solid kid who is poised to have a big year.
