Scott is "long and athletic" which is the base, and watching her consistently show me she can drop the jumper while being defended has been nice all season, from school to club ball. Her "catch and shoot" has gotten better, so has her finishing after contact, plus she's hitting the boards on both ends

Cooks can attack the rim using an explosive first step, or she can use the slight HEZ to catch the defender off balance, but her acrobatic finishes always leave me smiling. She uses her athleticism on both ends, and her "on the ball" pressure can frustrate ballhandlers, but her pull-up jumper can do the same to defenders

Lang has been one of my big surprises this season, yeah, she's "long and athletic," which is still the base, and stands at "the magic number," but the magic starts with her being able to find ways to put the ball into the basket. Her UPS comes in handy on both ends as she rebounds powerfully and scores on putbacks, as well as around the basket, but her timing to block shots looked good. She also scored off the dribble and dropped the short jumper

Broomfield falls into that #sizedontmatter group, but she always sweeps me away with her energy on both ends. Her "on the ball' pressure as well as her quick hands forced turnovers, but seeing her set the defender up to score off the dribble was nice, so was her dropping the jumper, ala "catch and shoot" included

Cooper also falls into that group of guards who does a good job applying heat on both ends. She saw the floor as good as anyone at the event, and her blistering passes between defenders from 20-plus feet away got me going. She also gave me the "catch and shoot" from mid to long range, scored off the dribble, and played the passing lane

Salazar reminds me of that ENERGIZER BUNNY commercial because she keeps going and going on both ends. I love seeing players who understand the importance of "never taking a play off" and watching her irritate ballhandlers with her pressure to force turnovers was nice. She also attacked the basket strongly to score or dish

Smith was another athletic guard who applied pressure on both ends, and watching her immediately go hard "on the ball" baseline to baseline was nice because it changed the tempo.
Ledet is a "long and athletic" guard which also falls into "the base" category, and her long arms, coupled with quick hands, got her some steals as she picked some pockets, but playing the passing lane was another way to create turnovers. She scored off the dribble, did a good job defending in the set, and saw the floor
