In the MISD Spring Creek Invitational, Amarillo, back to back 5A champions, lost to Allen, led by Louisiana Tech signee Tyler Jackson in the second round, didn’t see that coming and Allen lost in the next round to Arlington Martin, Kylie Loftis (Virginia Commonwealth University), I left at the half and I certainly didn’t see that coming but on any given day would be appropriate.
Kayla JamesThey go against South Grand Prairie led by Kendall McGruder, Kayla James, I can go on and on about the team that knocked off USA Today #1 Desoto recently, in fact, a special story will drop on them later. Simmie Colson & Deja KellyAt the Sandra Meadows Classic, Duncanville will face Troy out of California, Deja Kelly and freshman Tristen Taylor combined for 47 points in their win over one of the top private school squads, The Village School while Troy, led by do it all sophomore Hannah Stines and 6’5 junior Endigo Parker will definitely have their hands full against the Pantherettes. Speaking of having their hands full, Desoto even without sophomore PG Michayla Gatewood, is still overly impressive with 8 or 9 D1 players, they made it by defeating Conway out of Arkansas in a close one but as they say, or as they should, SHOWTIME in the Metroplex starts NOW
