Sophomore ID Camp: 3-on-3 Explosive Guards

I turned 67 a few days ago, and I was just thinking about how much this has changed since I dropped my first Tip Sheet for Scout.com around 2007. In 2010, I said social media was going to help screw this up; it has, as it has become easier for anyone to portray themselves as "someone you need to know" or, worse, "someone who acts like they know what they're talking about."   Shortly after my evals took off, several copycats emerged, and a referee asked, "What does it take to become an expert in this?" My response was, "Make people believe you know what you're talking about," so here we are. I got a kick out of the 3-on-3 action this season as a whole; it's getting better, and although I prefer 1 on 1, I get it, and so did these players    Thomas has blown me away numerous times <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/tyerra-thomas/">see evaluations here</a>, and to be honest with you, she's on the verge of blowing up. She attacked strongly off the dribble, finished after the lick and drop the pull-up, yet she also threaded the needle and rebounded aggressively, and even scored on putbacks     Coleman's nickname is CHEESE, which is perfect, as she smiles and explodes past defenders to finish however she wants, including acrobatically. As smooth as she was offensively, her picking pockets and playing the passing lane for steals spoke volumes, as did her timing and jumper     Johnson was reclassified, so she immediately popped into the Top 15 on my list because I already know<a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/jai-johnson/"> see evaluations here</a>, and she patiently toys with defenders before the acceleration, and when you factor in her "defying gravity" while elevating to finish or dropping the jumper, that's a problem. Just as impressive was her turnaround jumper and finishing with either hand, plus her "on the ball" pressure looked good     Ezeagwu-Milanzi just made a Tip Sheet before the event titled Keep On The Lookout for, and although I'm not totally clairvoyant, I am an expert <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/confidence-ezeagwu-milanzi/">see evaluations here. </a>She showed athleticism on both ends, tough "on the ball" pressure, and hanging in the air to finish, but her jumper has gotten even better; yet her score using that "hands and footwork" combo JUST DID IT for me     Altum punched her ticket to be added to the rankings after my initial sighting because not only is she a 2030, but one of the most impressive players in the 2029 group, and here's why. She was one of, if not the best, defender over the weekend, and her diving on the floor for loose balls, anticipating passes for steals, or just getting them the old-fashioned way by using her quick hands were all pluses, as well as her following her shot #THROWBACK     Batac also made my Players To Keep On The Lookout for Tip Sheet; <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/camille-batac/">see evaluations here</a>.
