I have a few more articles to write this month before we move into September. We will continue to highlight players whom I would like to shine more light on to end the month. I also want to put out a reminder: if you would like me to work on a preview article for your program for the upcoming high school season, please reach out to me so we can iron out the details of how it would work.

The Milton guard was a contributor on a Red Hawk team that won 20 games in a season for the first time in many years. Grady is an active defender who sets the tone for the Red Hawks' defense at the point of attack. She excels at putting pressure on opposing guards and forcing turnovers at the point of attack. The Milton guard will play a crucial role in the Red Hawks' 2025-26 season, as they try to take another step forward.

Kendyll Brochtrup

The Kimberly forward had an excellent 2024-25 season and played a role in the Papermakers' run to a D1 State Title. Brochtrup is a mobile frontcourt player who can defend multiple positions, use her length to defend, knock down shots from the perimeter, and play alongside other talented players. There will be moments for her to play in Kimberly's defense of their state title.

[player_tooltip player_id='922655' first='Kinnley' last='Fulcer']

The Kimberly rising sophomore was behind a plethora of talent in the 2024-25 season. Fulcer may earn minutes this coming season. She is an intelligent guard who can make the right reads whenever the ball is in her hands. She sees the game well and understands what's going on around her. She is a player who her coaches will trust when she's on the floor, and won't hesitate with the ball in her hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='992479' first='Ahviana' last='Dean-Baker']

iMadison East's offense was, essentially, a steady dose of Valerie Richardson last season, and she played well in her minutes. Dean-Baker can do a little of everything with the ball in her hands. Dean-Baker could have significant responsibility this coming season in the Purgolders' offense, and I'm eager to see what she can do as the primary ball handler. She has the talent to make some plays and be a prominent figure in the Big Eight, and help Madison continue to compete in the conference. She'll be one to watch in the Madison area.
