2027 Forwards Ready To Make A Leap

The 2027 class of forwards showed a lot of promise in their second year of prep hoops. Here are a few players who could rise in the rankings soon, with a new year of high school hopes soon on the way.    Although already ranked as one of the premier players in the class of 2027 in TN, [player_tooltip player_id='1039137' first='Ava' last='Ashley'] still could see her stock rise more. The junior from Wayne County brings an extremely dynamic game to the table at 6'1". On offense she can knock down threes from the corner, as well as from the top of the key. When she gets these chances from the top of the perimeter she can also create in other ways. She has great vision to bolt a quick pass to an open teammate, or she can put her head down and drive to the hoop. When she chooses to drive she is efficient in doing so and can finish on both sides of the basket.   On defense, she is a great help defender. She is able to step in and block or contest a shot when needed. There were multiple games last year where she recorded two or more blocks for Wayne County. Ashley rounds out her dynamic game with great rebounding ability.     [player_tooltip player_id='620459' first='Olivia' last='Loveday'] is one of the better shooters in the entirety of the class of 2027. She has a quick trigger on her jumper and has great off-ball movement to go with it. Because of her good off-ball movement, she can get open looks beyond the arc consistently, despite teams trying to key in on her.   Beyond her shot, Loveday is also a great creator. She can run her team's offense when needed. When she does so she is efficient in looking for her teammates when they are in ideal spots to score. Loveday can also fire passes through tight windows.     [player_tooltip player_id='821824' first='Kayla' last='Underwood'], at her position, is a great shot blocker. She has a unique pairing of speed and longer arms that allows her to take up an above-average amount of space in a short spurt of time. On defense, she can play on the wing or down low. She is more than capable of guarding positions 1-4 every time she is on the court.   On offense, Underwood has a reliable three-point shot and is solid when driving to the basket. Underwood is the type of player that can record two or more blocks, steals, and made threes all in the same game.     [player_tooltip player_id='821857' first='Rylee' last='Bolling'] is always looking to push the pace when she is on the court. Bolling has a great handle and can run the offense as a small forward. She is a great attacker of the basket and brings an aggressive switch to her squad's offense that every team needs. Bolling's aggro playstyle transfers well to another skill she has, her rebounding. She is a willing and great rebounder at the small forward position.   On defense, she has above-average speed that allows her to stay in front of opposing players well. She has had multiple games over her high school tenure where she has had two or more steals.     [player_tooltip player_id='818215' first='Danae' last='Kennedy'] is a versatile wing that has the ability to fill up the stat sheet every time she steps on the floor. The number one thing that stands out about her game is that she can impact a game in numerous ways. Many players, if their shot is not following become a net negative impact player. However, if that is the case for Kennedy she adjust accordingly and finds a new avenue to help her team win. Against Pillow Academy last year her versatility as a player was on full display. She recorded seven points, nine rebounds, two assists, and a block.
