is one of the reasons that Alma High School will make the State Tournament over the next three months. Epp would be considered one of Alma’s “big three” when it comes to their guard play. They have two other stars at the PG position and Epp plays off of that as a SG. At this time I would say that Epp is the third offensive option out of these three but that’s okay. All three are studs with great numbers production wise and that’s all that matters as they continue to win. Epp is a coordinated prospect, that is not afraid of physicality. She loves to attack off the catch with her solid dribble going either direction toward the bucket. In this Update, we have Epp’s taking over the #20 spot out of the 2028 Class. She has still has some room to grow but this is a great place to be in moving into 2026.

has a good feel for the game.
Epp is a solid shooter off the catch who makes defenders close out to her when she’s open. Vayden is a good passer who finds open teammates when they cut.
She is a solid defender who has a knack for racking up steals. Epp has active hands and can see things before they happen on the court.

prior to this event and for good reason. Epp was consistent last Winter as a Freshman at Alma and she has gotten better with time. Epp is a guard with a great sense of self on the court. She knows what she does best and she doesn’t take no for a reason. If she is dedicated to get to a certain spot, she is going to get there in one way or another but it’s not like it’s a “forced” action. It always seems natural. Which is important. College coaches don’t want players who force. That doesn’t work in efficient systems at the next level in any version so you have to be able to adapt in the blink of an eye and Epp does that really well. Like we have said, Alma is going to be really good this Winter and a reason for that is the play of Epp’s. She showed out as one of the best players at this event as a whole and that confidence should help her continue to get better as she grows older.

compete live and from everything I’ve heard, I’m expecting some fire works! Epp was a consistent producer last year at Alma for her Freshman campaign at the Varsity level and it’s looking like she will have a big role once again this Winter. Alma will bring in the #1 2029 in the state in PG –

but that’s only going to help players like Epp. The guard play that this team will have returning is scary for their Class level. They will have so many producers, that most teams, if any, will be able to stay with them throughout the duration of an entire game and players like Epp’s will come up big in multiple contests. Just wait and see.
