Freshman Showcase: Team 5 Evaluations

Our Freshman Showcase housed tons of great talent that competed at a high level. Team #5 was made up of good size, strength and IQ, which allowed them to compete with the rest of the talent in the showcase. Lets take a look inside of this teams dynamic.     Daylin Douglass, 5'9, Wing, John Borroug School, MO Phenom   Good wing that displayed a ton of skill at the showcase.  Showed a good handle that allowed her to get to the basket from either direction.  Played off of two feet in deep and that allowed her to counter for uncontested layups.  Showed range on her jump shot.     [player_tooltip player_id='1279145' first='Brynn' last='Bandermann'], 5'4, PG, Jackson High, [program_tooltip program_id='948123' first='TC' last='Hoops']   Good point guard that played with great effort and intensity in the showcase.  She drove it hard to the hole and did not shy away from contact. She also showed some great instincts and vison when pushing in transition finding teammates early and often.  Good all ball defender that did a great job of keeping people in front of her and not giving any advantages.     [player_tooltip player_id='1273843' first='Madelyn' last='Files'], 5'0, PG, Francis Howell, MO Phenom   Point guard with great vision and showed the ability to see plays before they happened. Crafty with the ball which allowed her to beat defenders off the dribble and dish to open teammates. She also was able to finish around the basket using floaters with either hand. Played well off the ball and was able to display her ability to shoot the ball from deep.     [player_tooltip player_id='1314204' first='Emma' last='Salviccio'], 5'7, Notre Dame Prep,   Good guard that drove the ball well in the showcase drawing fouls by being aggressive. Played with great intensity and effort, hustling after rebounds and loose balls. Great on ball defender as she harassed the opposing team game after game.     Ra'qayyah Khalifia, 5'8, Winnetonka, [program_tooltip program_id='712484' first='Della' last='Lamb']   Tough wing, with good length and size.  Played at pace all of her own and never got sped up. Handled the ball well going either direction and finished just as well.  Knocked down the three and made floaters consistently at the showcase.     Reece Collier, 5'10, Smith Cotton, MO Phenom   Strong forward that ran the floor and moved without the ball pretty well. She was relentless is her aggression to loose balls and rebounds. Carved out great post position in the paint and finished when she got in down deep.     Amelia Boss, 6'0, Forward, Bentonville West, Takeover Academy   Forward with good range from the middy.  She did a good job of working around the basket to create angles to finish around defenders. Showed the ability to handle the ball by grabbing rebounds and pushing it in transition.     [player_tooltip player_id='1234092' first='Inez' last='Ballard'], 5'10, Dixon High, MO Phenom   Nice sized wing that showed the ability to do a bit of everything on the court.  Inez literally played 1 – 4 at the showcase and stood out while doing so.  She shot the ball well from the perimeter, she handled it through traffic for tough contested layups and she distributed to teammates for easy baskets. She showed a great IQ and feel for the game I thought was rare for a freshman.
