When in doubt, fundamentals win out. When your are competing for an entire game and you can’t come off the floor for one reason or another – fundamentals can carry you to success and productivity. Paige Pipho plays this game with top notch fundamentals. She competes off a huge base as a pass first PG but she has the ability to shoot the rock from deep when defenses end up sagging off of her. Defensively, she makes calculated plays. She has active hands and feet, which lead to several tips and deflections throughout the duration of a contest. There are several things to like about Pipho and what she can do for her team when she is playing her best ball. I’m not sure which but some college coaching staff will see that over the next couple of years as she continues to grow in this game.

Paige Pipho competes with promise within this sport. When you are dissecting the fine details of her game she plays with a wide, fundamental stance within everything she does. It could be shooting, passing, rebounding, or defending. She understands how she is going to have to play to see success with her size and position. She isn’t the tallest so the bigger the stance she can move off of, the better. It will lead to more options in any situations on either side of the ball. We saw that first hand at this event. Pipho took open shots offensively, she played off of a big stance whenever she got into the middle of the lane, she defended as soon as her matchup got to half-court, and she led vocally throughout whenever plausible. I bet Pipho leads Union LePorte City this Winter in multiple positive statistical categories while helping her team win. She was just snagged up by Murray Elite AAU out of North Liberty for the Spring/Summer of 2027 and that will help her get seen as she continues to grow.

It’s certainly not crazy to think that Paige Pipho could lead her Varsity squad this Winter at Union LePorte City High School. Pipho has been a stud this Spring on the AAU floor with her Lady Martin Bro’s program. Offensively, she is hitting shots off the catch from the outside, putting the rock on the ground and gettin others involved, all while being someone who can handle pressure coming from the opponent. Defensively, she moves her feet at a high rate and she would be considered scrappy more than anything else. Sometimes you need that in a prospect. If Pipho can continue to work during her down-time, I’m sure she will come back this Winter ready to rock at a higher rate than most.
