An impressive showing over the weekend at the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association (SCBCA) Elite Camp in North Charleston resulted in Dunbar landing her second collegiate offer courtesy of Voorhees. She also has another from Denmark Tech as part of her resumé. Dunbar was one of four coach Kenny Orr’s 5A Rock Hill team that were on hand at the Elite Camp. One of the state’s premier veteran frontcourt forces, she has particularly developed over the years as a rebounder. Dunbar competed in 27 games last season in a Bearcats uniform and averaged 10.6 rebounds, seven points and 1.7 steals per matchup.

Dunbar was among four from coach Kenny Orr’s 5A Rock Hill assembling that was on hand this past Saturday in North Charleston. Her junior season as a Bearcat would see her average 10.6 rebounds, seven points and 1.7 steals per game. As those statistics indicate, she is a skilled rebounder and can win many battles on the boards. There is versatility to Dunbar’s game as evidenced by her willingness to attempt 3-pointers and play overall as if she was a guard. Dunbar, who stands at 5-foot-10, also understands the art of drawing contact that can place her at the free throw line.

One of four 2027s on this season’s 5A Division 1 Rock Hill team, the Bearcats’ portion of its Y.C. Winborn Showcase – and its holiday schedule – commenced with what was a commanding victory over 8A Chambers from the other side of the North Carolina-South Carolina state line. Dunbar contributed to the Bearcats’ efforts with eight points. At 5-foot-10, Dunbar provides plenty of height and is another threat to put crooked numbers on the scoreboard. A force to be reckoned with in Rock Hill’s frontcourt, Dunbar has already shown signs of taking that next step – a next step that once again ensures the Bearcats’ status as a dangerous bunch.
