Peterson left a lasting first impression a few weeks ago at the Kickoff Classic, see evaluation here, so seeing her show me what I initially saw was nice, but she added even more. She came from out of nowhere to BLOCK shots, she also went AFTA everything off the rim on both ends, but seeing her go “coast to coast” while being pressured was nice as well

Peterson is “long and athletic” which is and always will be the base, yet I tweeted “she’s going to be that girl” for a number of reasons, starting with the intensity she brings off the top on both ends of the court. Her timing is solid; she rebounds on both ends, handles the ball effectively, and scores off the dribble as well as around the basket. Her court vision looks good, so does her defense inside and outside the paint, huge upside
