Colman-Egan Hawks (7-1) – Defeated Dell Rapids 41-32 – Balanced attack with six players scoring; points in the paint favored CE 28-14. Tough region ahead.
Olivia Baumberger 2021 5’7 G – 8-pts & 11-rebounds with energetic motion and aggressive defense positioning. No turnovers.
Mackenzie Hemmer 2022 5’10 F – 9-pts and 13-rebounds. Versitile wing with active footwork denying lanes and post ups.
Braiden Westley 2021 5’7 W – Had early foul troubles which limited contributions. Sees floor so very well; need her playing max minutes.
Dell Rapid Quarriers (0-7) – Made 3 of 11 free throws and turned over the ball 14 times; did not score in third quarter.
Aspen Hansen 2020 5’10 W – 10-rebounds & 12-pts on 4 of 16 attempts. Hansen does so many things well, but is prone to scoring droughts (fatigue?).
Madysen Vanoverbeke 2022 5’3 G – 6-rebounds and 9-pts. Young point or wing who handles ball smoothly; 4 TO’s reflect attempts to crack open defense.

Oldham-Ramona-Rutland Raiders (1-8) Canisota plunked 59 pts & ORR had but 25 attempts-25!! Coach Frisby-Griffin stressing ball skills – 38 TO’s.
Khloe Tieman 2020 5’7 G – Had nice scoop shot bucket. Does any one else remember NBA All Star Cliff Hagen’s scoops? 10-yrs with St Louis Hawks, nicknamed “Li’l Abner”?
Julia Trystad 2024 5’9 W – Active hands, good speed , and excellent continuous effort.
Canistota Hawks (2-5) – Won 59-25. Shot 38% for game on 61 attempts.
Harley Cormany 2020 5’8 G – Made connection on 3 skip passes from backcourt to running teammates – one-bounce bullseyes. Must play baseball/softball.
Natalie Becker 2024 5’6 G – 3 of 5 treys counted. 3 steals and 3 rebounds put check mark alongside 8th grader’s name.
Skylar Bultje 2020 5’8 W – Impressive agility as a ball hawk and defender.
Alexia Tieszen 2021 5’4 G – 9 steals fed team energy levels; played all 32 minutes of running clock/mercy rule contest, smart coaching.

Andes Central – Dakota Christian Thunder (4-3) – Young team hit 31% with 12/39 tries to outlast Freeman’s 17% shooting on 10/60 attempts.
Isabel Pheifer 2020 5’10 F – Good ball control and paint patrol yielded 11 rebounds.
Lexie VanderPol 2022 6’1 F – Hit 6 of 11 & often brought ball upcourt. Older sister was scorer, too. PGH will watch progress – 7 rebounds
Mackenzie Muckey 2021 5’8 PG – Lefty scored 9-pts and secured 8 rebounds in “heavy-duty” minutes. Stout & fearless defender.
Freeman Flyers (3-4) – 2 of 26 from the three-point line = 8%. Could not force ACDC out of their packed in zone.
Emily Miller 2020 5-’11 F – Squared up to splash 2 from the elbow – classic form! Double-Double with 12 rebounds and 11-pts.
Jaimie Glanzer 2020 5’4 G -Tough shooting night but did not let down effort, and ancouraging teammates.

Hadley Carlson 2022 5’10 F – With 8 boards, 4 steals, and 11-pts, Carlson gave 110% to stem the tide.Three tall defenders kept after her contained.
Makayla Nelson 2020 6’0 C – Advantage to V/H in the post, with superior positioning, sealing, pinning,& fronting to deny passing lanes.
Viborg-Hurley Cougars (6-3) – Out rebounded Arlington 43-31; deeper bench, with strong efforts from six complementary talents. Hard to find better team balance.

Kami Wadsworth 2023 5’9 W – Dominance is the best description. Will follow sister Lexi to college career. 22-pts
Ally Abraham 2023 5’10 F 11p – Had 17-min off bench for 11-pts & 4 rebounds. Impact made and noted.
Kylee Wadsworth 2021 5’7 W – 3 of 7 long bombs hit. 15-pts & 7 rebounds. Sister act devastated the Mustangs.
McKenna Prouty 2021 5-10 F – Defended aggressively. 7 of 11 rebounds were on offense. Hard workers only, no sight-seers need apply.

Tabir Teel 2022 5’9 G – Had nice handles throughout, and a highlight reel drive late in game; like that one golf shot in a round that makes you want to come back.

Lennox Orioles (8-0) – Down 17-6 after one quarter, tied 38-all after 3 qtrs. Needed hard test after 7 easy wins. Got it in spades.
Madysen Vlastuin 2020 6’0 – Came alive in 2nd half, hitting 9/15 for game with six rebounds. Silky soft touch on jumper is a pleasure to behold.
Isabel Ihnen 2020 5’7 F – Only Oriole successful inside in the combat zone, scoring 11-pts with 7 rebounds.
Rianna Fillipi 2020 5’7 W – Player of the game: 6 steals, 4 assists, and 18-pts. Fillipi turned on the after burners in the 4th qtr, and squashed any Croften player within range.

Grace Nelson 2020 5’11 F – Persistence paid off with 8 rebounds and 11-pts with 5/6 FG scoring. Spurred final run in fourth qtr with energetic defense. Always pressured offense
