About Sumaiyah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m an all-around playmaker who pushes the pace, looks to score when it’s open, and makes smart decisions to get everyone involved. I’m a quick, fearless driver who gets to the rim, draws contact.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I compete every possession and never give up. I love challenges and use them to get better.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I currently play for the Minnesota Stars Jr 3SSB Team

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong teamwork and communication skills by learning how to support my teammates on and off the court. I’ve become more comfortable leading by example whether it’s hustling, staying positive, or encouraging others. I’ve also learned responsibility through community events and team activities where we serve others and represent our program with pride.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that supports me as both a student and an athlete somewhere I can grow academically, develop as a player, and be part of a strong team culture as I pave my way to the league.
