With the list of players named to the CHSAA All-State teams dropping yesterday, it’s time to take a look at the players who made the cut. Here is a look at the senior players from the 5A class:
<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt">[player_tooltip player_id="95016" first="Jana" last="VanGytenbeek"] - 5’7" Guard - Cherry Creek</span></strong>
Gytenbeek made first-team All-State and is the number one player in the PGH rankings. The Stanford commit was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the 2019-2020 season. A premier scorer and passer, she finished the season averaging 17.2 points and 7.7 assists per game. Over her career, Gytenbeek averaged 16.6 ppg, 6.5 apg, 3.9 rpg, and 2.7 spg.
<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt">[player_tooltip player_id="95019" first="Cali" last="Clark"] - 6’3" Forward - Cherry Creek</span></strong>
Clark, the number four player on the PGH rankings, was named to the first-team along with her teammate. She averaged a double-double over her career, tallying 15 points and 11 rebounds to go along with her 2.5 steals per game. Clark will be continuing her basketball career in the state with the CSU Rams.
<span style="font-size: 14pt"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="95071" first="Tosjanae" last="Bonds"] - 5’5" Guard - Far Northeast Warriors</strong></span>
Bonds, named to the All-State second team, is ranked 17th in the PGH ranking list for the class of 2020. The all-around dominating Metropolitan State commit capped off her senior season with an average of 24.9 points, nine steals, and 7.7 rebounds per game. Bonds’ career finalized with her posting 19.2 points, 7.4 steals, and 5.4 rebounds per game.
<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt">[player_tooltip player_id="95018" first="Jada" last="Moore"] - 5’10 Guard - Regis Jesuit</span></strong>
[caption id="attachment_96446" align="alignright" width="235"] [player_tooltip player_id="95018" first="Jada" last="Moore"][/caption]The PGH number three ranked player and Kansas State signee was named to the All-State second team. In her Sweet 16 victory, Moore posted 30 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists to lead her team to the Great 8. Moore finished her final season with 17.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.4 steals, and three assists per game.
