2027 Rankings Update: Breaking Into the Top 20

As we continue through the latest 2027 rankings update, we have officially reached the top 20, with spots 16 through 20 featuring a group of players who have continued to make their presence felt on the floor. Whether it's their growth over the past few years, ability to impact both ends of the floor or the versatility they bring to their teams, each of these players has shown why they belong among the top names in the class. With their senior seasons ahead, I'm interested to see how these five continue to build on what they've already accomplished and make the most of their final year.

Madison is a fast left-handed guard who can change the pace of a game with her speed and ability to get downhill. She has continued to improve as a shooter especially in the mid-range, while also being capable of running the fast break by herself and creating opportunities in transition. Defensively, she is a lockdown defender who can make things difficult for opposing guards with her quickness and ability to apply pressure.

Over the past few years Arielle has really started to come into her own on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. Her combination of size and athleticism allows her to defend multiple positions including stepping into the post when her team needs. Offensively, she has the ability to score in bunches and become a major factor when she gets going.

Madilynn is an underrated guard when it comes to her IQ of the game. She knows how to put the ball in the basket while making the right plays and putting herself in good spots. Defensively she is sound and plays the game the right way making her someone who can impact winning without needing to do too much.

Sophia has finally started to receive some of the attention she deserves with her commitment to Fort Hays State giving her an opportunity to put her talents on display at one of the better Division II programs around. Her effort and willingness to do the dirty work have always been a big part of her game, especially when it comes to rebounding and competing in the paint. She brings strength and an all-around presence in the post that should continue to make her a major factor for her team throughout her final high school season.

Delaney is still flying under the radar a little bit when it comes to recruiting, but her versatility is something that continues to stand out. She has the ability to guard positions one through five, knock down the spot-up three and dominate offensively from the free-throw line down to the block. Defensively, she can also protect the rim and make things difficult for opposing players looking to score in the paint.
