Northeast Ohio 2021 Juniors- part 3
Shyanne Sellers Shyanne Sellers 6'0" | SG Aurora | 2021 State #41 Nation OH , 6-2 Aurora
What hasn’t been said about this young lady? She has all the tools, and is currently #2 in the PGH Ohio 2021 rankings updated back in the fall. There is nothing she can’t do, and will only get better. Offensively, she is very skilled around the basket, and can play both inside/out. Bigtime player with many tools, can shoot the three, good midrange shot and will finish at the rim. Defensively, can guard 1-5, good on-ball defender up top, and alters and blocks shots down low. Can run the floor on the break, or finish a break.
Dream Cherry, 5-4 Akron St. Vincent St. Marys
Despite missing several games this season due to injury, Dream is a dribbling technician. She is very skilled with the ball, she is a scoring point guard. Although she is small, she is very quick. She can handle it, score it, she can shoot, she is also a defensive pest. She is a quiet storm. She is quiet but an intense competitor. She can score in bunches. She has such a bright future.
Jackie Grisdale Jackie Grisdale 5'9" | SF Poland | 2021 OH , 5-9 Poland Seminary
Her dedication and love for the game are second to none. Great work ethic and constantly making herself better. Great vocal leader who would make a great asset at the next level. One of her biggest strengths is her shot beyond the arc, as she is steady and consistent from the three, not afraid to let it fly. Can get to the rim with good handles, and finish strong.
Jordan Marecek, 5-9 Canal Fulton Northwest
Jordan is an athletic born leader and hard worker, she is one of the best on the ball defenders in her area. She is also a strong spot up shooter, has solid ball handling skills and clutch when it matters most. She seems to step up and want the ball during the tight games. Long and lanky guard with active hands, putting Northwest in prime transition opportunities. Takes what is given to her, capitalizes on mistakes and can finish the play.
Kate Haubert, 5-8 Hoover
Kate plays with a will to win that many kids don’t have. This is evidenced by the fact that she led her league in rebounding as a 5’8” guard. She is closing in on the school rebounding record as a guard. She has become a real threat on the offensive end of the court, handling the ball in the full court, driving to the hole and mastering the mid-range jumper. Kate has also developed into a tenacious one-on-one defender, whose impact on our team is enormous. She has a strong love for the game, and will be a force again next season.
