<span style="font-weight: 400">2022 Watchlist: Junior prospects on the rise</span> &nbsp; <span style="font-weight: 400">Kansas features several 2022 prospects coming off strong junior seasons who are poised to make a big jump forward this upcoming season, including Lebo wing [player_tooltip player_id="158584" first="Abby" last="Peek"], Central Plains [player_tooltip player_id="158608" first="Kassidy" last="Nixon"] and others.</span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="125024" first="Sierra" last="Jellison"], 5’6, G, 2022, South Central</b> <span style="font-weight: 400">An up-and-coming stand out for South Central who can create well and move off the ball and score after the catch. Jellison is efficient and looks to rebound and play an aggressive style of defense on the perimeter. She leads by example and shows a good upside as a score when the game is on the line. She averaged 16.1 points, one assist, 5.3 rebounds and three steals per game. She was the leading scorer for her team and also led in steals. </span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="158602" first="Kassie" last="Miller"], 5’6, G, 2022, Golden Plains  </b> <span style="font-weight: 400">Miller led her team in scoring, assists and steals showing an all-around ability to make plays on the ball. She has strong shooting mechanics and has a way of finding enough space to get her shot off both inside now. A well-conditioned player who has a good upside and good leadership qualities.Miller averaged 12.9 points, 4.3 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 steals per game. </span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="158608" first="Kassidy" last="Nixon"], 5’8, G, 2022, Central Plains  </b> <span style="font-weight: 400">Nixon moves well and is a solid passer and shows good touch both as a handler and scorer. She gets up the floor well and can score in transition and is quick to get back on defense. She puts the ball where it needs to go and is unselfish and a hard worker. Nixon just finds ways to make plays through her movement an activity on both ends of the floor. </span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="158584" first="Abby" last="Peek"], G/F, 2022, Lebo  </b> <span style="font-weight: 400">A multiple sport standout who can handle the ball, defend the ball and make plays as a facilitator, scoring option and wing. Peek looks to set a tone with her defense as she can pick off passes, block shots and forced turnovers. She can handle the ball some and it looks to attack the basket and get as close as you can to score but also is capable of scoring from distance. A nice sophomore keep your eyes on.</span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="125017" first="Darby" last="Smith"], 5’9, G, 2022, St. John </b><span style="font-weight: 400"> </span> <span style="font-weight: 400">An all-state selection as a sophomore last year, [player_tooltip player_id="125017" first="Darby" last="Smith"] is an underrated small school prospect who is poised for a big offseason and junior season in 2020-21. She can handle the ball, has a long, rangy frame and can attack the basket off the bounce where she is an excellent finisher. She has some advanced moves, including a nice step-through move that she uses to free herself from defenders or her way to the goal.</span> &nbsp;
