<span style="font-weight: 400">As players and teams hope to get back on the court this summer, several players have caught our eye in recent months in the 2021 class that are poised for a big sophomore season in 2020-21. Among them are all-state selections [player_tooltip player_id="123503" first="Kayla" last="Morris"], of Sterling, and [player_tooltip player_id="160923" first="Carrie" last="Roe"], of Herington, among others.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="123503" first="Kayla" last="Morris"], 5’11, G/F, 2021, Sterling</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400">A player who can see time both inside and out given her athleticism and height. She’s listed at 5’11 and has the ability to make plays on both ends of the floor. She can handle the ball well for her size and position and can power her way through contact and score around the glass. she’s good at finding separation in tight coverage areas and is also a salad shooter and operator at the high post.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="160923" first="Carrie" last="Roe"], 5’11, F, 2021, Herington</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400">Roe is a strong option at the Lowe post who looks to play physical and score in bunches. She shoots a strong percentage around the glass and has a way of being in the right place at the right time. An impact player on both ends of the floor, Roe averaged 15.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and one steal per game last season. She is also good at contesting shots and an improved defensive player overall.</span>
<b>Caleigh Smart, 5’9, G/F, 2021, Northern Heights</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400">A wing/power forward option who is physical, aggressive with the ball and can score and make plays defensively. Smart can extend the floor with her range and also move inside and play physical and score and block shots and secure rebounds around the low post.She’s quick to let it fly from three-point range and has a nice feel as a spot-up shooter. </span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="123490" first="Emma" last="Toerber"], 5’9, G/F, 2021, Valley Heights</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400">A good inside-outside player who has good size and long arms. She moves her feet well and stays in front of the ball and can contest shots and come away with a block. She is also a solid scorer who can connect from three-point range, in transition and inside. A multiple sport athlete who looks to get up and make plays to protect the basket and secure rebounds.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="123556" first="Teegan" last="Werth"], 5’8, G/F, 2021, Hillsboro</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400">A wing/combo guard who can create with your dribble and score off the bounce. Werth can connect from three-point range after the catch and has a high release point and good shooting mechanics. She steps into her shot and has good bounce and good instincts and awareness and looks to find separation as a shooter or open pass where she can attack the basket.</span>
