<p>It's crowded in the middle of the Intermountain Conference table. The No. 10 Summit Storm <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2026/01/intermountain-conference-crook-county-upsets-summit-55-47/">traded upsets</a> with the No. 8 Crook County Cowgirls after a 60-51 road win on Tuesday night. Both teams and Bend are vying for second place in the IMC. The Cowgirls cut a 13-point halftime deficit to 1 point late in the third quarter and hung on down by 6 midway through the fourth, but the Storm didn't let up.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1229215' first='Jade' last='Durfee'] led Summit in scoring with 15 points and 4 steals. The point guard nailed a corner three to establish an early lead. Durfee consistently blew by her defender to get downhill. She was creative in the lane and finished athletic takes around the help defender at the rim. The junior knocked down free throws late in the fourth quarter to secure the win.</p>

<p>After a back-and-forth first quarter, Summit went on a 20-5 run to end the second. Five Summit players netted threes, including [player_tooltip player_id='991261' first='Kalyn' last='Christ'] and [player_tooltip player_id='839067' first='Kennedy' last='Bollom'], who hit two apiece and combined for 16 of the Storm's 22 second-quarter points.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='991263' first='Reese' last='Aunchman'] has been a consistent presence inside for the Storm during top competitions. The senior forward has a strong frame, battles for defensive rebounds, and protects the paint. In the first half, Aunchman grabbed 7 boards and made a block inside.</p>

<p>Crook County mounted a comeback in the third quarter, outscoring Summit 18-11. [player_tooltip player_id='1232820' first='Hayden' last='Decker'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1691387' first='Mckinley' last='Sloper'] led the charge for the Cowgirls.</p>

<p>Decker scored a game-high 23 points with 4 rebounds and 3 steals. The sophomore netted 4 three-pointers, drove and cut to the rim, and made the putback after an offensive rebound.</p>

<p>Sloper added another double-double performance in her debut high school season. The freshman scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. She attacked the rim nonstop and earned several trips to the free-throw line.</p>

<p>With 90 seconds left in the third quarter, Sloper inched Crook County within 1 point (38-37) after knocking down two free throws, but the Cowgirls never reached Summit.</p>

<p>The Storm responded with a quick 5 points to end the frame ahead by 6 (43-37), and extended their fourth-quarter lead to as many as 10.</p>

<p>With the win, Summit (12-8, 4-4) currently ranks fourth in the IMC table and, with four league games remaining, is well positioned to earn an automatic bid to the playoffs. The Storm hosts Mountain View on Friday.</p>

<p>Crook County (15-6, 6-3) is tied with Bend for second place with three league games remaining. The Cowgirls go to Redmond for their last game of the season on March 3.</p>
