Showdown in KC: Staley vs Lee’s Summit West Top Five Stars

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Two of the top teams in the state hooked up on Monday night as Lee's Summit West paid a visit to Staley in a battle of Kansas City teams that had identical 22-2 records.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Visiting Lee's Summit West was up to the task in the first half as it lead by as many as eight points and took a 29-25 lead into the locker room at halftime.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the second half, Staley flipped the script as it flexed its power to outscored the Titans and take a 63-45 victory. She really took over the game in the third quarter as she scored repeatedly in the lane on offense and retreated back to gets steals and rebounds on defense. She seemed to be everywhere on the court. She scored 15 points in the half and hit three of her five 3-pointers. When she gets to her dominant left hand, she was tough to stop on the downhill drive. She also hit a pull up jumper in the lane and a 3-pointer from the corner.
